SOLUTIONS

check for STEP

  1. Since many of the homes on both Wilcox and south Green already.  pump up from a lower septic tank to a drain field near the road, a STEP system makes a great deal of sense. Run a 4" pressure line down the both of the road sides where public "Rights of Way are already in existents,

  2. The homes  on Wallis/Beach and Lakeview/Glenwood should also be operating on a STEP system thereby significantly reducing the major disruption of burying the deeper 8" gravity line.

  3. All of the flow from Wilcox, Lakeview/Glenwood , and Wallis/Beach should be piped eastward to the Main Force Line to the City treatment plant at 64th St and Osborne( 300ft east of Wallis/Beach. This has been discussed in depth with the Head of the Fremont Sanitary Sewer treatment facility. This alternative will eliminate the serious problem of running a 8' gravity pipe line across the lake outlet at Brooks Creek and possible flooding and law suits from downstream land owners.

  4. The homes on North Green would connect using a STEP system into the 4'pressure line running up Green St. and completely

  5. These solutions should reduce the cost of the project by at least $500,000.

All of these suggestion have been discussed with M&B to no avail.

The Project Manager at the DEQ also concurs in not only the technical validity of the solutions, but also the financial viability.
